Compatibility & restrictions

Siemens’ products and solutions undergo continuous development to make them more secure. Siemens strongly recommends that product updates are applied as soon as they are available and that the latest product versions are always used. Use of product versions that are no longer supported, and failure to apply the latest updates may increase customer’s exposure to cyber threats.

You can find information on security patches and security updates on the Internet:

  • To stay informed about security vulnerabilities and their remedies, subscribe to the Siemens Industrial Cybersecurity RSS feed at: https://www.siemens.com/cert
    Regularly check whether your product is referenced in the RSS feed and follow the recommendations of Siemens ProductCERT.
  • You can find the latest updates for your product on the Siemens download page.
  • If you have any questions about security patches, get in touch with your contact person.
    You can find your local contact via the contact database on the Internet.

Information on Open Source Software

If Open Source Software is included in the product, the product or an update is accompanied by an OSS document that provides information about the software components used.

Component Compatibility

To minimize side effects due to incompatibliities, it should only be used versions which are compatible to each other.
