Actions¶

You can assign predefined actions to specific roles for resources such as IEMs, device applications, device groups, and devices.

Actions for IEM¶

Import applications	`iem:importApplications`	Import Device Applications into the Industrial Edge Management.
Add device	`iem:addDevice`	Add new device to the Industrial Edge Management.
Create Device group	`iem:createDeviceGroup`	Create a new device group to organize devices in the Industrial Edge Management.

Actions for Device Applications¶

Action	Action ID	Description
View	`iem:deviceApps:view`	View application in Industrial Edge Management including its device installations, release notes and available versions.
App management	`iem:deviceApps:appManagement`	Manage installation, uninstallation or updates for devices, where the user has access to. Manage configurations for the application itself.
Share application	`iem:deviceApps:shareApplication`	Share an application or dedicated versions with specific users. If the application is shared, all versions and future versions are as well shared.
Publish/set live	`iem:deviceApps:publishSetLive`	Set a specific selected application version to visible for everybody within Industrial Edge Management. This version is then the highest available version for installation.

Actions for Device Groups¶

Actions on device groups are split on actions on the devices within the device group and actions on the device group.

Actions on Devices within Device Group¶

Restart/Shutdown	`iem:device:restartShutdown`	Restart or shutdown devices.
Manage settings	`iem:device:manageSettings`	Manage device settings such as memory limit check, log streaming, and more.
Manage label	`iem:device:manageLabel`	Add or delete labels to organize devices.
Create Backup	`iem:device:createBackup`	Create a backup of device data and settings.
Restore Device	`iem:device:restoreDevice`	Restore device data and settings from a backup.
Manage remote access	`iem:device:manageRemoteAccess`	Enable or disable remote connections to a device.
Download logs	`iem:device:downloadLogs`	Retrieve device logs for analysis and troubleshooting.
Hard Reset	`iem:device:hardReset`	Restore a device to its factory settings. The device will be removed from Industrial Edge Management.
Reset	`iem:device:reset`	Reset a device to remove all applications, including configurations and volumes. The device keeps connected to the Industrial Edge Management and its settings, such as network settings, will remain unchanged.
Delete device	`iem:device:deleteDevice`	Delete the device from Industrial Edge Management.
App management	`iem:device:appManagement`	Install, update, uninstall, or change the configuration of the application on the device.
Device Identity Federation	`iem:device:deviceIdentityFederation`	Enable or disable single sign-on (SSO) between Industrial Edge Management and devices.
Application control	`iem:device:applicationControl`	Start, stop, or restart all applications on a device.
Manage tags	`iem:device:manageTags`	Add or delete tags (device variables).
View	`iem:device:view`	View device in Industrial Edge Management, including installed applications, details, and status.
