Apps for data connection

Databus

The Databus provides access to the data of the field devices. The Industrial Edge Runtime sends the data from the field devices to the Databus. If you want to use this data for your custom application, you must connect your application to the Databus of the corresponding Industrial Edge Device (IED). Connectors are needed to fetch data from field devices. The configuration of the application is stored in the Databus, which allows the access of the app to the Databus.

DataXess

Internet of Things (IoT) technology aims at improving raw data handling from different IoT based devices which enhances the overall system performance, maximizing the exchange of data, and providing high scalability with the registration of new devices. In this age of information, availability of data is the key for success. DataXess is an IoT based application which collects data from multiple Edge devices and publishes to Databus. It primarily facilitates one to one device communication or many to one device communications. DataXess provides a solution to streamline data published from multiple Edge devices into a single Edge device through Databus.

Data Flow Monitoring

The Data Flow Monitoring provides the transparency of the data movement between applications installed on an IE device. It displays the connectivity between different applications installed on an IED. Data Flow Monitoring is an observer installed on the IED. It basically observes the connection status and data flow rate in bytes between the applications installed on an IED. The network stat information between the applications installed on an IED. It is a diagnostic application which will collect the docker network information of the virtual as well as physical interface, meta data information of all applications installed on an IED.

Edge OPC UA Server

Edge OPC UA server application runs on Industrial Edge Device (IED) which provides open standard access to data that is available to the customers. Edge OPC UA server connects to the Databus for extracting the data. Any data source which supports Databus common payload format can be modeled in Edge OPC UA server. The application has two parts; Edge OPC UA Server Configurator and Edge OPC UA Server.

External Databus

The External Databus allows you to connect remote clients to the IED over MQTT. The data pushed to External Databus is pushed to Databus on the configured topics and is available to be consumed by other apps within the IED if it is configured to operate this way.

Flow Creator

The Flow Creator (Flow Creator) application is a web browser-based programming tool that works on any platform. It is used to develop and deploy software services to hardware devices. This browser-based application is an editor that is designed for the Internet of Things. It is also used to create solution-oriented, message-based flows. Flow Creator uses the flow based development tool NodeRed.
