Updating the Industrial Edge Management App (end-of-life)

Requirement

A new version of the Edge Management app is available.

Procedure

  1. Log into the Maintenance UI.

  2. In the Home screen of the Maintenance UI, click the icon of the Edge Management app.

  3. Click Check Update.

    If a new version of the app is available, the Update Application screen is displayed.

    The current app version is displayed below the app name, the app version you update to is displayed below the app icon.

  4. Ensure that the portal.conf and hub.conf resource files are selected in case of an IP-based IEM.

    If you have set up a DNS-based IEM, select the portal-dns.conf and hub-dns.conf resource files.

  5. Without selecting any configurations in the Configurations tab, click Update Now to update the Industrial Edge Management App.

    The Industrial Edge Management App is being updated.

  6. To check the update process, click the tasks icon in the top right corner.

  7. After the Updating application Edge Management completed message is displayed, open the Recent Events screen by clicking the notification icon.

  8. After the Edge Management Updated event is displayed, the update of the Industrial Edge Management App was successful.

  9. Reboot the IEM OS by clicking the Cluster Reboot tile under Settings > System in the Maintenance UI.

After the reboot, the update process was successful.
