Certificates

Out of the box, HTTPS endpoints of the IEM and IEDs are secured with a private certificate authority, generated during the installation. For more information, refer to Certificate Management.

Customers can import their own certificates for the Industrial Edge Management and Devices. Managing certificates is possible through the admin UI of the IEM and the Industrial Edge Devices.

App-specific interfaces supporting encryption which are not exposed via the NGINX reverse-proxy of the IEM must provide their own certificate management.
