User roles

There are 5 roles that can be assigned to a user:

  1. Admin

    • Admins have full access to all system features and settings. They can manage users, configure system settings, and have the highest level of permissions.
    • They are responsible for overseeing the entire system and ensuring its smooth operation.
    • Admins can also assign/unassign roles to other users.
  2. User

    • The User role has the lowest level of permissions. Every user must have at least the User role assigned to log in to the device.
  3. AppAdmin

    • AppAdmins have full access within the application. As this depends on the application, please refer to the specific application's documentation for more details.
  4. Operator

    • Operators have limited read and write access. As this depends on the application, please refer to the specific application's documentation for more details.
    • Operators are responsible for the day-to-day operations within the apps.
  5. Viewer

    • Viewers have read-only access within apps. As this depends on the application, please refer to the specific application's documentation for more details.
    • They can view content and reports but cannot make any changes or perform any actions.

NOTICE

Devices with a runtime version lower than 1.23.0 do not support the Viewer, Operator, and AppAdmin roles.
