Performing hard reset causes issues with the hostname of the device, leading failure of software upgrade. It is not suggested to perform hard reset before upgrading the device starting with version V1.24.2.
It is strongly recommended to update your IEM Virtual and IEM Pro to the version including Helm Charts v1.11.7 or higher before onboarding your device.

Use the new device type "Industrial Edge Cloud Device" in IEM for onboarding your IECD. In case this device type does not appear in your IEM, an update of the "Device Catalog" may be required. For further details refer to the IEM Operating Manual.
